Volunteering in Local Production: A Great Experience!

It makes for a great hobby and lets you give back to the community. Since 1974, thousands of people have volunteered in directing and running camera or graphics at local productions. Now is your chance and all it takes is a desire and a phone call! Some volunteers have been a part of WKTV for over 30 years! Perhaps you would like your own TV show. We can help you out with that, too! To get started with volunteering or creating your own show, contact any staff person at WKTV and let the process begin.

You will need to become certified in operating production equipment. It's not as daunting as it sounds and once you're on your way, it's a lot of fun! And, WKTV offers an equipment training class several times a year for new volunteers, plus free refresher courses on request.
